Community Service Projects

Service Leagues Community Service Projects are designed to provide maximum benefit to our communities through our league volunteer efforts.  If you have a project you would Service League to assist with, contact our Vice President today or go to our Community Request page to submit.

Card Making

Create cards for the Meals on Wheels recipients. Cards are made two or three times a year and take about 1.5 hours typically follows a general meeting.


Done In A Day (DIAD)

Short-term service projects that produce immediate results.  All League members are offered the opportunity to volunteer in various projects that range from baking cookies to stuffing envelopes to event registration to bell ringing.  Time commitment is flexible. 

In Courage (DVC) Assist in various activities at the DVC. Time commitment is flexible. Training provided by In Courage.

Manitowoc Meals on Wheels

Two members deliver meals to the elderly & homebound from 10:30-noon. League delivers meals every Tuesday from September through May. 
 

Mariners Trail Garden

Assist with pulling weeds, planting, & watering the League sponsored garden on Mariners Trail!  Time commitment is flexible.


Two Rivers Meals on Wheels

Two members deliver meals to the elderly & homebound from 11:00 - 12:30. League delivers meals for one day every month September through May.

Our Internal Committees!

High School Scholarship Program

Members review the high school scholarship applications and interview selected finalists.  They also present scholarship to recipients at the high school award night celebrations.  Service League also provides funding for a $500 scholarship at Lakeshore Technical College, Silver Lake College and UW Manitowoc.

Community Grant Program

Members review the community grant applications and provide recipient recommendations to the membership for a vote.  .
